BIOgraphy

LE FIL is a British-Chinese artist and performer catapulted into pop culture consciousness from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

Le Fil makes ‘Pop Sculpture’ - which he explains is 'popular culture as a work of art’. Treating himself as both a sculptor and sculpture, he works across many art-forms to create music and art that explore gender and identity. Attitude Magazine placed him on their covers, describing him as a ‘living, breathing pop sculpture’.

Le Fil’s latest single ‘Splash Zone’ reached the UK Top 20 Commercial Pop Charts, and his live shows garner stellar reviews. Manchester Evening News described Le Fil’s recent appearances on the Drag Race UK tour as the ‘most creative performances of the night with a dazzling outfit and a powerful message about stopping Asian hate all tightly packaged together in a well-choreographed number.’

Le Fil is a beacon of positive LGBTQ+ and Asian representation, and has collaborated with many global brands and artists to spread his vision for equality, diversity and creativity.  He has featured in leading style publications British Vogue, Hunger TV and The Face Magazine; and performed with many renowned artists including a global tour with Spice Girl Melanie C x Sink The Pink.

With his personal ‘filosophy’, Le Fil challenges our everyday expectations of gender and genre, giving the world a fresh and innovative vision that will transform our imaginations.
